Tan Shaped knot belt hanger with buckle
Shaped leather belt hanger, comes with the choice of three different Norse designs, the Triskelion, the Vegvisir and the Triple Horns of Odin. Attaches to the belt with a decorated brass buckle.
Triskelion - The triskelion is a motif consisting of a triple spiral exhibiting rotational symmetry. The spiral design can be based on interlocking Archimedean spirals. In relation to Norse mythology the triskelion is thought to represent the "Triple horns of Odin".
Vegvisir (Icelandic: Vegvísir, “That Which Shows the Way” - The vegvisir is an Icelandic stave, which is thought to guide the bearer through rough seas. There is very little known about the symbol; however the Huld manuscript states, “If this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.”
Triple horns of Odin (Also referred to as Horn triskellion) - In order to obtain the mead of poetry (skáldskaparmjöðr), which was made from the blood of the god Kvasir, Odin bargained 3 nights with the giantess Gunnlöð in exchange for three sips of the mead. However, with each sip he drank a whole horn. Since the three horns, named Óðrœrir, Boðn and Són, contained the whole of the mead, Odin thus got all of it and fled in the shape of an eagle.
