Thor's Hunting Dagger
This HUGE dagger (Total Length - 40 cm (15.7") has been beautifully crafted using the highest-quality materials. The blade has been hand-forged using carbon steel to achieve the iconic dagger shape and symmetry. There is only ONE god capable of wielding this knife: Thor.
Thor's Hunting Dagger has one curved sharpened edge, matched by a false bevelled edge on the opposite side, creating the Dagger symmetry. It features an integrated cross guard and a Walnut handle. The sheath has been beautifully sewn by hand, adorned with detail and houses the knife snugly.
The knife has been finished with our signature beeswax and linseed oil blend, which helps protect, aids grip, and enhances natural colouring.
These are an attempt to recreate what likely would have been used in the Viking Age. Knifes based on this shape have been used for thousands of years, particularly across Northern Europe.

WHAT IS A 'VIKING KNIFE'?
This style of knife has been found across most of Northern Europe (and beyond), and often are referred to as "Viking knife", "Blacksmith's Knife", "Celtic Knife" and more. The simple design made them relatively simple design and only required on material.
The tang is drawn out and bent back on itself to create a, surprisingly, comfortable handle, which often incorporated a twist for added grip.
These would have been a staple of everyday life!
KNIFE CARE
Knifes are supplied with a small tin of our signature linseed oil and beeswax blend, as well as being treated before being shipped.
High Carbon steel is not 100% water resistant, and requires the regular application of oil (or our wax blend) to keep the knife looking its best.
